Keisuke Shitomi

Dr. Kei Shitomi is an entrepreneur and investment professional with deep expertise in education, consulting, and global business. Currently a Research Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School, his work focuses on comparative analysis of education policy and business ecosystems between Japan and the world.
Dr. Shitomi began his career at Mitsubishi Corporation, then joined McKinsey & Company and CLSA Capital Partners, where he led five buyout deals, including a major cram school in Japan. In 2022, he founded Baroque Investments, a consulting and M&A advisory firm serving Japanese and global clients. As CEO, he champions transparency, value-driven deals, and cross-border best practices in private equity.
An accomplished author, Dr. Shitomi has published two bestselling books in Japan, one of which was translated into Chinese. He holds five academic degrees including an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School, an MBA from Chicago Booth, and a Ph.D. in Management Science from Kyoto University.
