
Fakhri Fauzi is a language educator at the Center for Language Development, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, with over nine years of experience teaching Bahasa Indonesia to foreign speakers. He holds a master’s degree in Linguistics from Universitas Indonesia, specializing in foreign language teaching. Appointed by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia, he has taught BIPA (Bahasa Indonesia for Foreign Speakers) in Cambodia, India, Myanmar, and other countries. His research interests include applied linguistics, genre-based approach, and second and foreign language instruction, with recent publications focusing on effective strategies for online and offline BIPA classrooms. As a Fulbright FLTA at the Rajawali Foundation Institute for Asia, Harvard Kennedy School, he teaches Indonesian to Harvard students and contributes to cross-cultural dialogue. In addition to being an educator, Fakhri is a passionate language learner who can communicate in several languages, supporting his mission to foster intercultural understanding through multilingualism.
