Hybrid Event
JFK Jr. Forum
6:00 pm – 7:00 pm EST
Join Sikyong Penpa Tsering, the elected leader of the Central Tibetan Administration, for a conversation on the future of Tibetan democracy. In exile for over six decades, the Central Tibetan Administration has maintained a vibrant democratic system that protects cultural identity and human rights despite statelessness. The discussion will explore what democracy means beyond borders, Tibet’s place on a global stage and its position in U.S.–China relations, as well as the path forward for Tibetan society.
Moderated by Anthony Saich, Director of the Rajawali Foundation Institute for Asia, and Daewoo Professor of International Affairs.
This conversation is hosted by the Institute of Politics at the JFK Jr. Forum and co-sponsored by the Rajawali Foundation Institute for Asia.
