Ricardus Williams Djee Wau

Ricardus Williams Djee Wau, known as Richard, is an English language educator with a bachelor’s degree in English Education from Universitas Nusa Cendana and a master’s degree in TESOL from University College London. Beyond teaching English, he has actively promoted Bahasa Indonesia and Indonesian culture through the Indonesia–Australia UniBRIDGE Initiative, the 2015–2016 Australia–Indonesia Youth Exchange Program, and his role as a Duta Bahasa (Language Ambassador) for East Nusa Tenggara Province. In 2019, he participated in the Indonesian Arts and Culture Scholarship, funded by the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he assisted international participants with Indonesian language and culture classes at Universitas Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan. He also supported BIPA programs at Universitas Nusa Cendana for four consecutive years. As a Fulbright FLTA at Harvard University, Richard teaches Indonesian language and culture at the Rajawali Foundation Institute for Asia, Harvard Kennedy School.
