Eiichi Tatsumi is an energy security strategist and entrepreneur focused on the intersection of energy, technology, and industrial competitiveness. He is the founder of Frontierbridge, an advisory firm focused on strategy and investment across the energy and data center sectors.
He is currently a Fellow at the Rajawali Foundation Institute for Asia at Harvard Kennedy School’s Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation. His research examines how AI-driven electricity demand, the transformation of power systems, and emerging energy technologies are reshaping energy security, industrial competitiveness, electricity market design, and cooperation between Japan, Asia, and the United States.
Previously, Tatsumi spent more than a decade at Mitsui & Co., where he worked on international energy and infrastructure investments across multiple markets. His experience at Mitsui shaped his perspective on how capital, technology, and policy interact in the development of energy and infrastructure businesses.
He later served as Head of U.S. Business at Renova, Inc., a publicly listed Japanese renewable energy company, where he led the company’s entry into the U.S. market and built its business platform through multiple investments.
He holds an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School and an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business.
