Chenglong Sun is a Deputy Research Fellow and Director of the General Research Division at the Institute of Market Economy, Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), China. He received his Ph.D. in Management from Renmin University of China. His research interests include critical minerals, commodities, supply chains, and industrial development, with a focus on economic and policy analysis.
His current research examines critical mineral and commodity markets, including supply chain dynamics, international trade and investment, and related policy frameworks in China, the United States, and other major economies. He is particularly interested in how market forces, technological change, and industrial policies shape the resilience, efficiency, and sustainability of mineral supply chains. His broader work draws on practical experience in economic and policy research, with an emphasis on understanding global market developments and contributing to informed policy and industry discussions.
