Dr. Tingyi Wang is a political scientist with more than 15 years of research experience in the Middle East. He is a Research Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School and the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy in the United Arab Emirates.
Previously, Dr. Wang was a Postdoctoral Fellow at St Antony’s College, University of Oxford; a Visiting Research Fellow at Princeton University; and an Assistant Professor at Tsinghua University.
His research focuses on comparative politics, the Arab Gulf states, Gulf–great power relations, Gulf–Asia relations, and the evolving regional order in the Middle East. He has delivered lectures and presentations at institutions including Harvard University, Princeton University, the University of Cambridge, Waseda University, the National University of Singapore, NYU Abu Dhabi, Qatar University, Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Fudan University. He regularly participates in and convenes Track 1.5 and Track 2 dialogues across the Gulf, Europe, and East Asia, and has published widely on Gulf politics, foreign policy, and international relations.
