
Program Involvement
Wenchi Yu is a global leader and business strategist with deep expertise in cross-border and market access strategies connecting Asia and the United States. Her career spans leadership roles in the private sector, government, and non-profits.
In the private sector, she has guided high-growth global technology companies on public policy, social impact, branding, and public relations. At Goldman Sachs, she led strategic philanthropy and stakeholder engagement across Asia.
Wenchi is the co-producer and host of DC Insiders by TaiwanPlus, a program that features one-on-one interviews with policymakers on global issues, and the host of her podcast, Perspectives with Wenchi Yu, which explores the implications of the Trump 2.0 administration’s policies on business and technology.
She previously served in the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Congress and began her career in the non-profit sector. She is a Nonresident Research Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School’s Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation and a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Additionally, she founded Global Women Asia, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering global leadership from an Asian perspective, and holds several board positions focused on Asia.
She has an M.A. in international relations from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in political science from National Taiwan University.
