Xiu Xu is a Ph.D. candidate in Chinese Modern History at Tsinghua University. She obtained her LL.M from Tsinghua University in 2023, majoring in Chinese Modern History. She received her LL.B and B.A. from Shandong University in 2021, with majors in International Politics and English. She is an alumna of University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) exchange programme in year 2019.
Xu’s research interests include history of the CPC, modern Chinese diplomatic history and the thoughts of Mao Zedong. She is also intrigued by the strategy and propaganda of guerrilla warfare led by the CPC during the second Sino-Japanese War.
