What’s Next for US-Taiwan Trade Relations?

A discussion on U.S.-Taiwan trade relations

The Rajawali Foundation Institute for Asia hosted a discussion on U.S.-Taiwan trade relations. Following the collapse of the TPP trade agreement, questions remain in Taipei about the future of Taiwan’s role in trade agreements and regional politics. Is the Biden administration working effectively to incorporate Taiwan into a broader post-TPP framework? Panelists included Simon Nip of AU Optronics, Ryan Hass from Brookings, and Phil Hsu of the National Taiwan University’s Department of Political Science.
