He discussed Indonesia’s growing importance in the global community and economy as well as shared his thoughts on how Indonesia’s democracy can best navigate the potential economic storms ahead. Rep. Nguyen and Rep. Chan discussed the importance of AAPI representation in state government, policy issues that impact AAPI communities, and running for office. They detailed the unique challenges faced by AAPI communities, the importance of coalition building, and specific policy issues that they have supported/introduced that are important to AAPI communities in Massachusetts.
